History of the Evian Group at IMD

The Evian Group at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) was founded in 1995 by the late Katsuo Seiki, founding executive director of the Tokyo-based Global Industrial and Social Progress Research Institute (GISPRI) and Jean-Pierre Lehmann, professor of International Political Economy at IMD.

The Group is an international coalition of corporate, government and opinion leaders, committed to fostering an open, inclusive, equitable and sustainable global market economy in a rules-based multilateral framework. Its activities include plenary and regional meetings, roundtables, and youth-related initiatives, supported by the intellectual input of its Brains Trust.
