Membership procedure

Companies and organizations can support EGAR by;

• Becoming a private member
• Sponsoring EGAR activities
• Making a donation.

Involvement with EGAR will provide you with the following benefits:

• Gaining access to our extensive international network
• Becoming a part of an established network of experts, reaching across constituencies, cultures, nationalities and generations, a community promoted through the EGAR website and in many other far-spanning activities and events worldwide
• Participating in EGAR events, according to personal areas of expertise and interests of a company or an organization
• Gaining knowledge by taking part in the activities convened internationally by EGAR where open high level debate and free exchange of ideas dominate the agenda
• Contributing actively to the enhancement of the global market economy and global community

Private members are individuals who demonstrate support for EGAR’s mission and activities. They are normally individuals who have been involved with EGAR for a period of time and who may be invited to join in a private capacity. Private members are not officially members of the EGAR General Assembly; however, they may be co-opted on to the Executive Committee. Private members have access to the EGAR network and are invited to participate in EGAR forums.

Sponsors can be companies, government institutions, other organizations and individuals who make a financial contribution to EGAR events or initiatives whether directly or indirectly (ex. scholarships, internships, fellowships). Non-members and all categories of members can also act as sponsors. Any sponsor will be named in association with the events and/or initiatives unless otherwise preferred.

EGAR is also pleased to receive donations, which, depending on the desire of the donor, will or will not be attributed to the donor. A member, non-member or a sponsor can make donations.

EGAR membership application is available online. Applications will be reviewed and approved by the EGAR staff, subject to fulfillment of membership criteria, first and foremost of which is the commitment to the mission and goals of EGAR. The candidate must also submit a formal letter of motivation, explaining reasons for joining and benefits it will bring to EGAR and to the candidate. In case of a positive outcome at this stage, the EGAR staff will submit the application to the Evian Group, which will determine the final decision of the candidate's membership.
