Since the beginning of the EGAR activities, an Arab Youth one-day workshop has systematically been held where a group of young people, both Arab and non-Arab, work together to discuss their concerns and formulate solutions in the general framework provided by the EGAR initiative. Their results are given great visibility and are being discussed with the EGAR general audience where a platform is provided for this purpose.

Issues addressed include world economy, the Arab world and ways of realigning Arab economies in the interdependent, dynamic and constantly-evolving global markets, the improvement of leadership among Arab youth and questions about global trade, WTO accession, peace and prosperity regionally and globally.

It is expected that a critical number of young people will generate a momentum to become a youth movement contributing to and participating in the socioeconomic structure of their countries in order to create a more open, transparent, and increasingly interconnected world at large.

The EGAR Youth Initiative is consistent with the overall aspirations and vision of the Open World Initiative.
